What a coincidence Ron Paul gives this speech warning about the evils of computer surveillance and government databases in the same year as the title of George Orwell’s dystopian novel, “Nineteen Eighty-Four.“
Or is it?
Matthew Spalding, Ph.D. (HERITAGE .ORG) – Across this great land, patriotic Americans are behaving subversively.
Uncle Sam is not amused.
The recent roll out of smart meters has brought about mixed reactions from consumers.
On one hand, there are activist groups broadcasting the health and privacy concerns that smart meters may potentially have. On the other, the utility companies are championing the advantages of smart meters in the face of a $3.4 billion fund stimulus given by the government for smart grid technologies. (It sure is nice of them to be advocating energy savings while they line their pockets with all that money from the government.)
Are Western governments waging a war on people power? The signs of a sprawling police state in the U.S. are abundant and conspicuous: a specialized military police trained for civil unrest, a wall-to-wall spying apparatus monitoring ordinary citizens, media censorship, re-education camps, etc.
Def Con: NSA Boss Asks Hackers to Join the Dark Side
Damon Poeter (PCMAG.COM) – Help me help you or help me hurt you? National Security Agency chief Gen. Keith Alexander’s first-ever direct appeal to hackers to assist with national security was greeted with polite applause at the DefCon conference in Las Vegas on Friday but afterwards, it was a different story.
“The people who would say we are doing that should know better. That is absolute nonsense,” Alexander said, referring to former NSA employees who have told the media that the agency does just that.

In a series of scenes, it described frustrating incidents in the life of a young girl, each ending with the line — which my tiny daughter would boom out with remarkable force — “that makes me mad!” It was the book’s title and a repetitively cathartic moment in our reading lives. And it came to mind recently as, in my daily reading, I stumbled across repetitively mind-boggling numbers from the everyday life of our National Security Complex.

When I visited the base earlier this year with a small group of reporters, we were taken into a command post where a large flat-screen television was broadcasting a video feed from a drone flying overhead. It took a few seconds to figure out exactly what we were looking at. A white S.U.V. traveling along a highway adjacent to the base came into the cross hairs in the center of the screen and was tracked as it headed south along the desert road. When the S.U.V. drove out of the picture, the drone began following another car.
“Wait, you guys practice tracking enemies by using civilian cars?” a reporter asked. One Air Force officer responded that this was only a training mission, and then the group was quickly hustled out of the room.

This is great. It is wonderful to hear all these leftists saying Ron Paul is Right!
Here is the Conspiracy Theory With Jesse Ventura show on FEMA Concentration Camps (a.k.a. Fusion Centers) that Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones say Homeland Security censored to the extent that they actually remotely ERASED recordings of the concentration camps episode on Tivo machines in private homes.
How long will the video be here? Who knows …?
